Nokia McLaren is one of the most exciting products developed by Microsoft (and Nokia) that never came to be, as it was supposed to introduce several innovative features, including 3D Touch.

But while Microsoft killed the phone before it got to see daylight, some of the prototypes the company developed are still out there, and one of them can be yours right away if you agree to a pay a pretty hefty price.

One Nokia McLaren, also known as Microsoft Lumia 1030, is up for grabs on eBay at the price of $7,500. The device is in mint condition, according to the description posted by the seller, but the SIM tray cover is gone.

It remains to be seen if anyone is interested in the phone given the fact that Windows phones are losing users these days, but the seller claims this is quite a good price considering that another unit sold recently for $8,000. Keep in mind, however, that we cannot guarantee this listing is legit.

If you’re wondering what’s so special about the Lumia McLaren, let’s have a look at the spec sheet. The phone was featuring a 5.5-inch full HD LCD display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor running at 2.3 GHz, 2 GB of RAM, 32 GB of storage and microSD card support, 20-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front camera.

Furthermore, the phone was developed to launch with features that aren’t yet available on Windows phones, such as exploding live tiles - a thing that users have been asking for continuously, as well as 3D Touch, which uses sensors in the display and on the sides to detect when you are about to touch the display and perform several tasks.

There were dedicated settings to fully configure 3D Touch and Nokia McLaren was running a customized version of Windows Phone 8.1 to let you control everything, especially these unique features.

Unfortunately, the Nokia McLaren was canceled before users got the chance to give it a try, so it’ll remain just another super exciting product that customers would have definitely loved.
