A few more details about the upcoming Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection have just appeared, this time confirming that the new titles will no longer feature any of the motion controls seen in the original releases, and that a tougher difficulty option will be added for those that want a harder time.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection was confirmed earlier this year as a special package that takes the first three games in the series – Drake's Fortune, Among Thieves, and Drake's Deception – and brings them to the PS4 with remastered visuals, enhanced gameplay, and other additions.

After hearing some fresh details about the actual game and a confirmation that a demo will arrive later this summer, fans can now enjoy a few more tidbits of information about the major bundle, via Kotaku.

Motion controls are getting eliminated while a new difficulty is coming

First up, it seems that Bluepoint Games, the developer in charge of the collection, confirms that it will not re-use the motion controls employed by certain titles in the series. In case you don't remember or didn't get to play the first three games, the DualShock 3's Sixaxis motion controls were used in small mechanics like throwing a grenade or walking across a log.

If you do still want to perform things with the controller, the possibility of using motion for tossing grenades is still present, although it's completely optional.

Those looking for a bigger challenge can certainly expect to find some in The Nathan Drake Collection, as Bluepoint also confirms that a tougher difficulty setting is going to be added across all the games. The early iterations have already given its QA testers a run for their money, so fans should expect a lot of challenges.

Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection is expected to arrive in October for the PS4 platform. The full-fledged Uncharted 4: A Thief's End experience is scheduled to arrive on the Sony console in early 2016.
