The luxury brand Vertu launches new smartphones almost every month, but they are not available in high volumes due to their price. Add to that the fact that most of them are manually manufactured and you get a clear idea of what the Vertu brand means.

Vertu fans are already used to getting amazing looking smartphones with obsolete specs, but that won't be the case with the next device that the company plans to launch in the coming months.

The unannounced Vertu V06 has just been spotted at Geekbench, and judging by its specs, the smartphone will be a beast, something that no other luxury handset managed in the last couple of years.

First of all, the V06 name is most likely just a codename for a prototype that's now being tested, so we expect the Vertu smartphone to be launched under a different name.

Could this be the most expensive Vertu smartphone?

The main problem with Vertu handsets was the hardware, which was pretty old by the time they were launched on the market. The next Vertu smartphone will solve this problem if it goes on sale in the next couple of months.

The V06 will be equipped with a 64-bit octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor, which will be paired with an Adreno 430 graphics processing unit and no less than 4GB of RAM.

These are the specs reported for the prototype unit tested in Geekbench, but they might not be final, so keep that in mind before going crazy about the new Vertu smartphone.

Also, the device will ship with the Android 5.1.1 Lollipop operating system right out of the box, along with all the Vertu apps and concierge service the company usually offers.

Unfortunately, we have no info on the phone's display and camera, but we do have an idea of how much V06 will cost. Considering that the pricing options for Vertu's luxury phones start at €5,000 ($5535), the V06 should be priced a lot higher since it comes with the best specs included in such a smartphone until now.
