Good news for Android fans looking for great deals, as Chinese company Ulefone has just announced a mid-range smartphone with more than decent specs, the Vienna.

Unlike many Chinese smartphones, Ulefone Vienna is available for pre-order internationally via GearBest. Customers who wish to purchase the smartphone will have to come up with just $200, as the Chinese retailer doesn’t charge for shipping.

Speaking of which, Ulefone Vienna will start shipping on April 30, and keep in mind that depending on your location, you might have to pay for customs fees.

But let’s see what the Vienna has under the hood and if it’s worth the money. First of all, the smartphone comes with a large 5.5-inch capacitive touchscreen display that supports full HD (1080p) resolution and features 2.5D curved glass and Corning Gorilla Glass 3 coating.

Plastic design but metal frame

Hardware-wise, Ulefone Vienna comes equipped with a 64-bit 1.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6753 processor, coupled with a Mali-T720 graphics processing unit, 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded up to 64GB via microSD card slot.

At the back, the Vienna packs a 13-megapixel photo snapper with Panasonic MN34172 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, dual-LED flash and autofocus. There’s also a 5-megapixel camera in the front with OmniVision OV5648 sensor.

Ulefone Vienna features an Infrared sensor, fingerprint sensor, Smart Audio PA independent DAC amplifier from NXP, as well as a 3,250 mAh battery.

When it comes to connectivity, Ulefone Vienna is an all-rounder. It features 4G LTE, hybrid dual-SIM support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, USB OTG (on-the-go), GPS with AGPS, 3.5mm audio jack and FM Radio.

The only downside could be the fact that Vienna ships with Android 5.1 Lollipop operating system onboard. Those who previously owned an Ulefone smartphone will also find the proprietary U launcher on top of Lollipop.
