Ubisoft's Forward event revealed quite a few surprises. Although we already knew the French studio is working on a title called Gods & Monster, it was only yesterday that we got a better grasp of what Ubisoft has in store for us.

First off, Immortals Fenyx Rising, formerly known as Gods & Monsters, will be launched for PC including uPlay+, Google Stadia, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch on December 3, 2020.

The game is developed by Ubisoft Quebec and plays like an action-adventure game with puzzle elements. Much of the visuals, animations, and gameplay mechanics are heavily inspired by Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

Immortals Fenyx Rising is set in Greek mythology and promises a compelling story, intricate secrets, and puzzles, as well as ferocious monsters. The story is narrated by Prometheus and Zeus who give the adventure a lighthearted atmosphere.

The game takes place on the so-called Golden Island, a huge open-world split in distinct regions patterned after specific Greek gods, which players must liberate in order to resurrect them. Fenyx, the protagonist of the game, gains a number of abilities and items that will help liberate the island from monsters and bring back the Greek gods.

Immortals Fenyx Rising promises fast and acrobatic combat, most often than not against huge enemies. Just like Zelda: Breath of the Wild, Ubisoft's game is filled with secrets, challenges, treasures, and hidden vaults that are up to the player to discover.

For those interested, Immortals Fenyx Rising will be available in Standard and Gold Editions (with the latter including a Season Pass and exclusive in-game content). Players who pre-order the game will also receive a bonus quest that will unlock when the game is launched later this year on December 3.
