Hyper Scape is Ubisoft's new take on the battle royale genre, but that's old news since the game was announced early this month. After a technical test on PC that ended on July 7, developers announced during the Ubisoft Forward event that Hyper Scape is now available in open beta.

The bad news is the open beta is live only on PC, but on the bright side, players will get access to a new free 30-tier Battle Pass, additional game modes, and a new Twitch functionality for streamers and viewers.

Unlike the technical test that ran during the first week of July, the open beta brings a new Squad Crown Rush, as well as two additional limited time game mode called Turbo Mode Squad and Hack Runner Squad.

Also, the Hyper Scape open beta period will feature a free 30-tier Battle Pass that, along with the in-game shop, offers players additional customization items for their contenders, as well as weapons, drop pods, emotes, and much more.

More importantly, Ubisoft confirmed that all items earned in the Battle Pass or purchased from the store during the Hyper Scape open beta will carry over across both PC and console when the game fully launches.

Speaking of launch, Hyper Scape doesn't have a release window yet, but since the game has already entered open beta, there's a high chance it will come out by the end of the year if nothing bad happens.

As far as the Twitch extension goes, Ubisoft revealed that players will be able to influence Viewer Events through voting, as well as rank up and progress their own Battle Pass just by watching streamers using Crowncast. It will also be possible for streamers to invite viewers from Twitch directly into their squads.

Keep in mind that in order to play Hyper Scape open beta you need a Ubisoft account. If you don't already have one, you can create it for free.
