This month was terrible for gamers, as Paradox, Sony and Ubisoft delayed some of the most anticipated games coming in 2020. It was Paradox Interactive that first made headlines with Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, which was initially expected to release in March 2020. The game will now launch later in 2020 according to developer Hardsuit Labs.

Earlier today, Naughty Dog's Director, Neil Druckmann confirmed The Last of Us Part II's release date has been moved from February 21 to May 29, 2020. The studio realized that it can't bring the game up to the level of goodness we expect from a Naughty Dog title and decided to postpone the release by three months, a decision which will also reduce crunching times.

Ubisoft is now delaying not one, but three titles which are in the works. The French publisher said in a note to investors that Watch Dogs: Legion will no longer be launched on March 3, 2020, as originally planned. Ubisoft has moved the game's release date to the next fiscal year (2020-21), which starts in April.

But that doesn't mean the game will actually be released in April, just that it will be launched in the second part of 2020. Along with Watch Dogs: Legion, Ubisoft also postponed Rainbow Six: Quarantine into the next fiscal year, the followup to the tactical multiplayer game.

Finally, Gods & Monsters, Ubisoft's new IP, an open-world RPG aimed at a younger audience will no longer be launched in the first half of 2020.

While each of these games already has a strong identity and high potential, we want our teams to have more development time to ensure that their respective innovations are perfectly implemented so as to deliver optimal experiences for players,” said Ubisoft president Yves Guillemot.

Ubisoft is likely to announce exact release dates for these games next year, so until the French company comes forward with an official statement, they're postponed until at least April.
