Two Point Hospital, the reboot of the critically-acclaimed Theme Hospital simulation management game, is getting a major expansion next week. The eco-themed expansion is called Off the Grid and puts players in the shoes of a hospital manager who must cure patients using traditional and herbal medicine.

In Two Point Hospital – Off the Grid, players will be given the chance to explore three new regions, each with its own unique characteristics. You'll have to research 35 brand-new unusual illnesses (9 visual) such as Green Fingers and Root Snoot, in order to help make Two Point County a sustainable place to live.

New gameplay features that fit the eco theme have been implemented, so you'll have to make use of gardening to treat some of the weirdest afflictions, before moving to the region's first eco-city where you'll need to build green energy machines to stay self-sufficient.

It's an interesting approach that will make you think about some of the biggest issues of our planet: pollution and consumerism.

The new expansion will be released on Steam on March 18 and it will cost $7 / €7 / £7. Fans of the franchise can already pre-purchase it now, with an early adopter discount of 10% until March 25. Even though Two Point Hospital is available on Epic Store Games as well, Off the Grid will remain exclusive to Steam for the moment.

Those who don't have the base game and want to try it out, along with some of its expansions, the “Complete Your Set” Bundle is currently on offer on Steam, which gives a 10% discount to the base game and all previous DLC, Bigfoot, Pebberley Island and Close Encounters between March 11 – 31. It's also worth mentioning that players will be able to buy the “Exhibition Items Pack” from March 18 for $3 / €3 / £3, including 30 new in-game items.
