Nokia is said to be releasing Android-running smartphones and tablets this year and it seems that two devices have just hit Geekbench. Some specs of the upcoming smartphones were revealed in the benchmark test.

Nokia is said to be releasing two high-end smartphones with Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box, together with other mid-range devices. The first evidences of said devices have just appeared over at Geekbench, via Nokia Power User.

Nokia 5320 was benchmarked and it appears to run a quad-core processor clocked at 2.27GHz, but only 2GB of RAM. The processor could be Snapdragon 821, considering that Snapdragon 820 peaks at 2.2GHz.

The latest processor model from Qualcomm, Snapdragon 821, has a much higher peaking speed of 2.4GHz. However, RAM capacity may be increased in the final model, seeing how 2GB is not enough for the capacity of such a powerful processor.

One benchmarked smartphone runs Android 4.2.2

The second Nokia smartphone carries the code name Nokia RM-1490 and has an AMD a8-5545M processor clocked at at just 500MHz, but has 2GB of RAM.

It runs Android 4.2.2, which definitely means that it's an early prototype and the final version will have different specs. Benchmark tests only offer a hint on the specs of upcoming smartphones and in many cases, the final product could carry some significant changes.

Rumors from last month point to the fact that one of the upcoming smartphones will come with a 5.2-inch display, while the second could have a 5.5-inch screen. In addition, both devices would come with 2k displays and Z-Launcher System UI.

Aside from this, they could have IP68 certification for protection against water and dust. Full metal bodies will certainly make the phones attractive, aside from the prospect of 22.6MP rear cameras.

At this point, it's uncertain when Nokia will release the upcoming smartphones, as the company is also said to unveil new devices early next year. More information will surely surface soon, as rumors should be taken with a grain of salt for now.
