14 DAY TRIAL // There are good and bad news for Tweetium users, as developers have just announced the Windows Phone application picked up a major update, but some changes included are only available for Pro users.
For those out of the loop, Tweetium is a third-party Twitter client that sells for $2.99. However, the base price will provide users with the fully featured standard Universal App with support for one Twitter account at a time on any Windows device.
Purchasing Tweetium Pro will give users the option to add multiple Twitter accounts, but will also provide them with notifications, an enhanced Connect tab, TweetMarker sync and integrated news.
The latest update brings support for Quoted Tweet notifications for Pro users. The new feature includes both push notifications and Connect+ support.
According to the official changelog, when tapping/clicking image previews the app will now load the full-size image in the image viewer instead of expanding the thread.

The new feature can be changed back to the old behavior in Advanced Settings. Also, developers confirmed that Quoted Tweets now include media previews.
The newest update also brings many improvements to how tweets are added to the list as users scroll up to reduce jumpiness seen in certain cases. Also, more fixes to new-line/multi-line issues on phone have been implemented.
Many bug fixes are included in the update too. Below is a list of the bug fixes that made it in the latest version of Tweetium:
- Fixed a couple of error handling bugs, such as the error shown when viewing profiles with no tweets; - Fixed a bug where duplicate follow notifications could appear for Pro users in certain circumstances; - Fixed a bug where the same user could appear multiple times in the list of who has favorited a tweet if they favorited then unfav’d then re-fav’d; - Fixed a crash when opening the compose menu (i.e. drafts/snippets) while the app is a Share target.
You can now download Tweetium for Windows Phone for $2.99 via Windows Phone Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1 and up.
