Publisher Kalypso Media and developer Limbic Entertainment have just announced the first DLC for Tropico 6 and the seventh free update for the strategy game. The Llama of Wall Street DLC is available for purchase for $10, but on sale for $8.5 for a limited time. On the other hand, the Seguridad Social update is available for free to everyone who owns the base game.

The Llama of Wall Street DLC brings a wide range of in-game improvements and new features, including the option to manipulate the stock market by using the newly added Trade Institute building and altering the value of goods such as shellfish, tourist fees, and uranium.

Moreover, the paid DLC adds random economic events. Greased with Arabian Oil sees a hefty tariff added to goods traded with the Middle East and the USA, while The Brink of Chaos event inflates the value of weapons, canned goods, steel, and other items instrumental to surviving an apocalypse.

Besides Trade Institute, Tropico 6 gains other new buildings like Toy Workshop and Smart Furniture Studio that let players further their economic power. The new DLC is meant to offer players expanded gameplay mechanics that will allow them to infiltrate global market situations, trade, and production and act accordingly.

The price of goods will now succumb to fluctuations and trends in the global market, and players will be able to make use of the new buildings to play the markets and even manipulate export prices. It also adds new missions, events, additional customization options, and edicts.

Seguridad Social, the seventh free update for Tropico 6 introduces a new Warehouse building, the Rio sandbox map, and the community requested Social Security edict, which should help prevent in-game student and retiree NPCs from going broke. The new Warehouse building lets players store goods and cash out for a quick buck later on.
