The Vampire Counts has recently received a full video reveal from the developers at The Creative Assembly, but there are still plenty of details about the Total War: Warhammer faction that need to be disclosed, including a full look at the roster.

Until that happens, gamers can take a closer look at the second Legendary Lord that will be able to lead the race, Heinrich Kemmler, a powerful necromancer that was targeted by his rivals after he managed to explore the most ancient tombs of the undead.

The official page says the former Lichmaster then explored the Grey Mountains and came upon the burial site of a Chaos Champion.

The Creative Assembly adds, "Kemmler struck a terrible pact with the gods. They would restore his health and give to him power greater even than he had previously lost and in exchange, he resolved to do their bidding, becoming a tool of unilateral destruction. Now, once more, hushed whispers of the Lichemaster send shivers of fear down tavern-goers spines, and plague their children’s minds with terrible nightmares."

The developers are not yet offering information about the abilities and special gear that Kemmler can gain in Total War: Warhammer.

The main leader of the Vampire Counts is Mannfred Von Carstein

Each of the factions featured in the strategy title has two Legendary Lords that players can choose between to get a different experience on both the campaign map and in the tactical battles.

Von Carstein is the original leader of the vampires, fast, powerful and cunning, able to conceal his true identity and to strike at the Empire from the inside, creating a solid base from which the faction can try and dominate the Old World and stop the assault of Chaos.

Total War: Warhammer strives for authenticity, and the Vampire Counts will be able to use a zombie dragon, bat-like creatures, classic undead and more, while also dominating at least part of the battlefield using powerful magic.

Each of the four major factions will have unique mechanics for both combat and the strategy map, designed to reflect their nature and the particular biography of their chosen Legendary Lord.

The developers are also tweaking the way sieges work as well as the conquest model, making sure that no race can conquer all the regions on the map.

Total War: Warhammer will be launched on the PC on May 24, and gamers can get access to the Chaos warrior downloadable content pack if they are willing to pay for a pre-order.
