The development team at The Creative Assembly and publisher SEGA are determined to make the upcoming Total War: Warhammer the best representation of the fantasy world created by Games Workshop and their attention to detail is easy to see in the newly revealed abilities for the Lords of the Dwarfs and the Greenskins.

The two factions will have very different core gameplay mechanics, and approaches to both battles and the strategic maps and the skills of their leaders are designed to shape the way gamers approach a campaign.

Thorgrim Grudgebearer, the High King of the Dwarfen Race, can use his armies more effectively on both offense and defense when settlements are involved and also managed to make his troops immune to some psychological effects.

The Lord also made gyrocopters better armored, which is surprising for Dwarves but perfectly captures their spirit in the Warhammer universe.

Their other hero is Slayer King Ungrim Ironfist, who is sworn to seek out the most powerful enemy he can find and die in combat against it, which means that he enhances the power of his forces against large opponents and less likely to be ambushed.

The Dwarves can move via tunnels, and the Lord can avoid being intercepted by enemies and can keep the morale of his fighters higher even in the darkness.

The Orcs are focused on overwhelming force and dark magic

Grimgor Ironhide is the main leader for the race is able to use a Waaagh and a powerful charge to break enemy ranks, and he can also use Da Imortulz to make more troops join his powerful personal bodyguard.

Finally, the Black Orc functions best in enemy territory, using raiding and looting to gain more revenue and ready to bring more troops to his cause.

Azhag The Slaughterer is a powerful magic user and that he can ride a powerful wyvern into battle and can call on his resources to reduce enemy morale and to drain the spirit of a unit.

The Purple Sun of Xerues allows the sorcerer to use a ball of magic to take out enemies, and he can also launch powerful surprise attacks.

So far The Creative Assembly has not offered too many details about the Vampire Counts and a full reveal for the skills of the Lords that guide the Empire might arrive in the coming days.

Total War: Warhammer will allow players to choose from four core races and will try to unify as much of the world in order to stand up to the threat posed by Chaos, which is ready to destroy the world, in the End, Times.

This is the first strategy title from the studio that features magic, flying units, and a fantasy setting that means that authenticity is more important than realism when it comes to the core mechanics.

Total War: Warhammer will be launched only on the PC on April 28 of this year.

Gamers who place a pre-order will be able to get access to a special pack which allows them to play as the Chaos Warriors in the campaign.
