The game might also include Chaos as a faction

A new Total War: Warhammer teaser aired during the Gamescom 2015 event, focusing on the Dwarf faction, which will be an important part of the game.

The short video was first shown to those who attended the event at the end of the stage demos, which concentrate on the Battle of the Black Fire Pass, a massive battle between the humans of the Empire and a host of Orcs.

Dwarves are one of the factions that The Creative Assembly has already confirmed for the video game, and it's nice to get a first look at the way they will be portrayed in the title.

But the teaser also suggests that they will be able to launch battles underground, which would be a very cool new feature for Total War: Warhammer.

The fact that a spider causes the scout seen in the teaser to run away might also be a sign that the development team might be getting ready to announce a new faction that will be included in the strategy experience.

Fans are saying that such a creature might be used in the line-ups of both the Skaven and Chaos, but the studio has not yet made an official announcement in this regard.

The Vampire Counts have not yet been shown for Total War: Warhammer

When the new title was first announced, a number of fans of the fantasy setting were surprised to hear that the Vampire Counts will be included as one of the core factions.

So far, The Creative Assembly has not offered a look at them, but it will probably deliver at least some screenshots in the coming weeks.

Each of the factions that will be part of Total War: Warhammer will have one unique, powerful hero that will lead it into battle, with stories linked to his progressions and the ability to grow even stronger as he reaches certain goals.

The development team is also saying that unique strategy map mechanics are planned, allowing players to get entirely different experiences depending on their initial choice.

Total War: Warhammer is set to be launched on the PC at some point next year.
