Total Commander, one of the most popular file managers out there, has just made its debut on the Windows Phone platform. The application has been in beta for more than a year now, but thanks to developers' hard work, Total Commander has been released in Windows Store.

Keep in mind that even if this is version 1.0, there might be some small issues and minor bugs, but they shouldn't negatively influence your overall user experience with Total Commander.

Among the main features of the application, developers mention the option to Copy and Move whole sub-directories, as well as the ability to Rename and Create directories. The Delete option has been implemented too, along with the options to Zip and Unzip folders.

Total Commander for Windows Phone comes with a built-in FTP client, which acts like a plugin. The same goes for WebDAV (Web folder), which is available as a built-in plugin.

Many plugins made it to the first public release version

LAN access and Wi-Fi direct file transfers built-in plugins are also available to users, along with a Cloud Storage function via Google, Dropbox and Microsoft. There's also a virtual two-panel mode and the option to view pictures as thumbnails.

Last but not least, Total Commander users will be able to take advantage of the Search function (text included), select / unselect groups of files, select by tapping on file icons, select range with long tap on file icon, and other features.

Total Commander for Windows Phone supports quite a few languages such as: English, German, Croatian, Czech, Danish, Dutch, French, Greek, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Russian, Simplified Chinese, Slovak, Slovenian, Spanish, Swedish, Traditional Chinese and Ukrainian.

You can now download Total Commander for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The application should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.
