Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is almost here and Ubisoft is preparing for a limited Beta that will run from February 7th to 11th 2019.

The first game in the series was hyped up a lot by the community and by the Ubisoft itself, so the result wasn’t the expected one. The game becomes a lot better over the years, lots of content being released in the meantime.

What’s more important is that Ubisoft promised to learn from what the community was telling them all along, so everyone is now interested in seeing what they are going to come up with. More importantly, the studio seems to finally embrace the genre, and they are calling it an open-world online shooter RPG.

A chance to play The Division 2 Beta

As most of you already guessed, the Beta is being offered to people who are pre-purchasing the game but don’t despair. Ubisoft is also releasing the flood gate for the rest of the players, and you can register for it and hope that you’re going to get picked.

“Tom Clancy’s The Division 2 is the next evolution in the open-world online shooter RPG genre that the first game helped establish. Building upon more than two years of listening to and learnings from The Division community, Tom Clancy's The Division 2 will offer a substantial campaign that organically flows into a robust endgame, to create a cohesive and meaningful experience for all types of players. The game will be available on March 15, 2019, on all platforms.”

Betas are required for this kind of games because they are online-only and a lot of people have to stay connected to servers at the same time. It’s unlikely that the same problems that plagued the first one are going to return (remember the guys blocking a single door for everyone?), but we’ll have to wait and see.
