So the company won’t be bringing more units in stock

The most expensive Apple Watch on the market, which is made of titanium and typically starts at $799 in the United States, is no longer available for purchase.

And in case you’re wondering why, the situation is a little bit unexpected, even for Apple itself.

According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman via PA, the titanium Apple Watch sold out faster than Apple itself expected, so the company ran out of inventory.

And with a new Apple Watch just around the corner, the company has no plans to produce more such smartwatches, which means that the titanium Series 6 is gone for good.

New Apple Watch in September

The whole thing is certainly surprising for both customers and Apple, but as far as the Cupertino-based tech giant is concerned, the titanium model is yet to be discontinued.

So while it’s no longer available for purchase, you know, because it’s already out of stock everywhere, the titanium version of the smartwatch won’t return either, simply because it doesn’t make any sense from a business perspective for Apple to restart production of the device.

Not with the Apple Watch Series 7 just around the corner, as its unveiling is expected to take place in September alongside the new-generation iPhone 13.

Needless to say, the company has remained completely tight-lipped on everything, but if you still want to get an Apple Watch Series 6 these days, your only option is to go for the more humanly-priced regular versions.

On the other hand, if you want a titanium smartwatch, then you must wait for at least several more months. The new Apple Watch Series 7 is indeed expected to be announced in September, but it’s not yet known when the titanium version is projected to hit the shelves, and of course, how many units would be part of the early inventory.
