A new video claims to provide us with a close look at the Huawei Mate 10, a new Android smartphone projected to be unveiled next month in Germany.

Huawei, which is currently the world’s third largest phone manufacturer in terms of sales, has promised to give Apple a good run for its money, with the upcoming Mate 10 to become a true iPhone 8 killer in all regards.

And this video posted by Indian tech site Compareraja and @OnLeaks provide us with an early look at what to expect and how exactly Huawei could attempt to make the iPhone 8 not that big of a deal.

As it turns out, the Mate 10 could come with a fingerprint sensor integrated into a front-facing home button. This means that Huawei’s new model won’t launch with an edge-to-edge display as it was originally rumored, but with a more traditional approach that makes the phone look from the front more like a Samsung Galaxy Note 4.

Dual-camera configuration

The back of the Mate 10 is the one that’s likely to get more praises, as it’ll house the dual-camera system, along with a flash and a speaker for a more immersive audio experience.

The device will also come with a USB Type-C for charging and data transfers, and a 3.5 mm headphone jack placed at the top of the side frame. Power will be offered by Huawei’s new Kirin 970 chip coupled with 6GB RAM and offering at least 64GB storage.

If this is indeed the Huawei Mate 10, the Chinese company will certainly have a difficult job to compete against not only Apple, but also Samsung, as not going for a bezel-less design this year could prove to be a decision that makes customers to look elsewhere for new phones.

All details will be revealed on October 16 during Huawei’s official press conference taking place in Munich.
