14 DAY TRIAL // Windows 10 Mobile is currently available only on Lumia 950 and 950 XL, but Chinese manufacturers are again one step ahead of everyone else, so they've already installed the new operating system on a couple of 7- and 8-inch tablets.
Presented at an event in Hong Kong, the new Sunty (that's the name of the company) Q72 and Q82 (these are the names of the devices) come with Windows 10 Mobile pre-installed, obviously not the final version that Windows Phone users will receive in early 2016, but the latest build available to insiders.
Since they're made by a Chinese manufacturer, these two Windows 10 Mobile tablets will be incredibly cheap, but the company doesn't yet want to say how cheap. It does mention, however, that more information will be provided later this month or in early January, when they will go on sale officially.
The official spec sheet suggests from the very beginning that these are low-end devices, but it's important to note that both the Q72 and the Q82 come with 4G LTE connectivity, a feature that more expensive devices are actually lacking.
Technical specs
First of all, the Q72 is the smaller model and comes with a 7-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1280x800 pixels and is powered by a Snapdragon 210 processor coupled with 1 or 2 GB of RAM (depending on the version you choose). You can also get up to 16 GB of storage space (microSD card is also offered).
There are a 2-megapixel rear camera and a 0.3-megapixel front unit, as well as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a USB port, and a 2,800 mAh battery that should get you through the day.
The “flagship” Q82 comes with an 8-inch screen with the same resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, a bigger battery of 4,000 mAh, plus dual-SIM support.
Both devices will go on sale in the next weeks and will be available in several colors, including blue and pink. A Windows 10 Mobile smartphone will also be released soon, but specifics are not yet available.
