The ZenFone 3 Zoom has already made its debut on the market since it was unveiled last month at Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. However, the smartphone is only available in Taiwan, and things won't improve until at least a couple of months from now.

Asus has just confirmed that customers in the United States will have to wait until Q2 if they want to purchase the ZenFone 3 Zoom. Although the smartphone was scheduled to make its debut in the country in Q1, the Taiwanese company has decided to postpone its launch and make it more competitive spec-wise.

Aimed at photographers or those who like to take photos on the go, the ZenFone 3 Zoom features a dual-camera setup comprising a main 12MP Sony IMX362 sensor and 1.4µm pixel size, as well as a second 12MP “Zoom Camera” with 12x total zoom and 2.3x optical zoom.

At the time of the announcement, Asus claimed the phone's camera benefits from its SuperPixel technology, which allows the main camera to provide up to 2.5 times more light sensitivity compared to the iPhone 7 Plus.

But the rear-cameras are not all there is about the ZenFone 3 Zoom, as Asus also added an impressive 13-megapixel camera in the front that features a Sony IMX214 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and LED flash.

Asus ZenFone 3 Zoom sports a larger 5.5-inch AMOLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 and full HD (1080p) resolution. The phone is powered by an octa-core Snapdragon 625 processor, coupled with Adreno 506 GPU, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

On top of that, the smartphone drains energy from a massive 5,000mAh battery. A fingerprint scanner is positioned on the back, but the downside is the ZenFone 3 Zoom runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Asus Zen 3.0 UI on top.
