14 DAY TRIAL // The team at CD Projekt RED might not be willing to talk about the launch date for the Blood and Wine expansion for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but it is now offering five new screenshots taken from the coming content that offers some hints about the challenges that Geralt will face.
Marcin Momot, senior social media and community coordinator, states, "Toussaint, the new realm we’re creating for the expansion, is unlike anything you’ve seen in Wild Hunt – carefree and colorful, but your gut never stops telling you that there’s some real dark stuff happening underneath all that."
He also says the writers at the studio are introducing more twists and turns than in the core campaign of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, with gamers set to take about 20 hours to explore all the content that is coming.
It seems that an official launch date for Blood and Wine and more information about the main quest and the location of Toussaint will be offered in May.
CD Projekt RED has already said that this is a land that was not affected by war but also suggests that this is because of a dark pact that its noble inhabitants have made with an unknown force.
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is the final title featuring Geralt
CD Projekt RED is also saying that it will have members of the development team present at the PAX East 2016 event that takes place during the weekend, taking part in a panel called "Gwent-Ception: Does a Game Within a Game, Make a Game a Better Game," which will be streamed on Twitch starting at 2 PM Eastern Time on Saturday.
According to the team, after it launches Blood and Wine and makes sure that the expansion delivers the experience it is supposed to, it plans to move away from the Geralt-powered universe and focus on other ideas.
The CEO has suggested that new game that is based on an entirely new idea will be revealed before the end of the year, although he offered no hints about its nature or story and it's unclear when the release date for it will be set.
At the same time, CD Projekt RED wants to focus more on Cyberpunk 2077, the science fiction driven action title that has been revealed for a few years but has not received any kind of details about the gameplay or the narrative recently.
