Microsoft’s most recent Windows 11 preview build is coming with new goodies for the Settings app, as the company continues the work on making sure its modern Control Panel replacement has everything users need.

Windows 11 build 22567 therefore introduces Microsoft 365 subscription management in Settings, with the company to use Online Service Experience Pack to introduce the refresh for users.

“We are introducing payment details within the subscription card experience. This will allow you to view your payment information and be notified when your payment method needs to be updated, allowing you to continue your subscriptions without any disruptions,” the company explains.

The Microsoft 365 subscription management options are now placed at the top of the Accounts page when you open Settings on Windows 11, but at the same time, the company also uses this approach to highlight the free benefits of the program for those who don’t have a subscription.

Only available for a limited number of insiders

I wouldn’t necessarily be surprised if some people end up considering this approach an ad, but Microsoft explains users are provided only with the information they can access based on their account types.

“For customers who are not Microsoft 365 subscribers, we are highlighting the free benefits you have access to as part of your Microsoft account on the “Your Microsoft account” page. You can directly access your Office Web Apps, view your OneDrive storage or upgrade to a Microsoft 365 subscription to unlock the premium benefits,” the company explains.

This new Settings refresh is currently available for a limited number of insiders, but Microsoft says it’s working on bringing it to more users in the Windows Insider program. There’s obviously no ETA as to when it should land for users running production builds of Windows 11, though the new experience is expected to go live for everybody later this year.
