If you've been playing EA's The Simpsons: Tapped Out for a few years, then you know now is the time for a spooky update that brings new, scary content.

The Simpsons: Tapped Out addicts will be pleased to know that the new update is available on both Android and iOS platforms. Once again, players will get spooked by the Treehouse of Horror, which makes another comeback to The Simpsons: Tapped Out.

The new update contains costumes, party snacks, spooky campfire built with Evil Driftwood, and other such goodies.

Your main objective in this update is to solve all the issues related to an ancient evil that stirs in Springfield and the adults have no idea (about this or anything else).

As soon as you start playing, you will be able to fill up your treat bag with Spooky Campfire Stories (that come to life), and brand new costumes for your favorite characters. The update also brings new Daily Challenges and a lot more content meant to get you spooked.

The game requires a persistent Internet connection

If you haven't played The Simpsons: Tapped Out before, then you should know that the game downloads additional content on first launch that can be up to 500MB based on device.

That's why it's recommended to connect to Wi-Fi the first time you play. Keep in mind that The Simpsons: Tapped Out is supported with regularly occurring content updates that require additional download when released.

You can now download The Simpsons: Tapped Out for Android for free via Google Play Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices running Android 2.3.3 and up.

For iOS users, the game can be downloaded via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.1 or later.

It's also worth mentioning that, while the game is free, it comes with in-app purchases which can be disabled from settings.
