Bandai Namco's horror series The Dark Pictures Anthology is getting a second game in 2020. After the lukewarm reception of Man of Medan last year, Supermassive Games hopes to do better this year with Little Hope, a brand-new interactive horror coming out on all platforms.

While we don't have an exact release date yet, the folks at Supermassive Games claim The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope will be out on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC this summer, so stay tuned for more on the matter.

If you've played either Mand of Medan or Until Dawn, then you already know what to expect from Little Hope. Supermassive Games will probably use the same gameplay mechanics but maybe fine-tuned them for more immersion.

We've been delighted by the reaction from players and the success of Man of Medan as the first installment of The Dark Pictures Anthology. We really appreciate feedback from the community and the team remains committed to the goal of making each new installment deliver further thrilling horror experiences, with the next chapter, Little Hope, bringing an all-new and disturbing horror story to the anthology,” said Pete Samuels, CEO of Supermassive Games.

The Dark Pictures Anthology: Little Hope follows the story of four college students and their professor, who find themselves trapped in the abandoned town of Little Hope. Just like in their previous horror games, the protagonists must escape nightmarish visions and unseen assailants who relentlessly pursue them through an impenetrable fog.

A successful escape can't be achieved without understanding the meaning of the events, the root of evil, and how it's connected to them, so the journey of the college students and their professor won't be an easy one.

The news comes with an announcement trailer that shows some of the horrors that players must confront as they journey through the town of Little Hope, which you can watch above.
