Obsidian had a consistent presence at Microsoft's Xbox Games Showcase, as the famous developer talked about no less than three different games: Grounded, Avowed, and The Outer Worlds. You've probably heard about Obsidian's first foray in the survival realm – Grounded, so let's talk about something completely new coming to RPG fans.

The Outer Worlds is getting its first DLC, which adds a bunch of content to the game’s darkly humorous universe. Players will be able to experience a brand new noir-tinged adventure that takes them to the Gorgon Asteroid to investigate the mysterious origin of Adrena-Time.

Dubbed Peril on Gorgon, the DLC will not only add a new story in The Outer Worlds universe, but also quirky new weapons and armor, perks, and flaws. Naturally, players will be offered the same freedom to approach problems that made the original game so rewarding.

Moving on to some of the new game mechanics, it's worth noting that the upcoming DLC will increase the level cap to level 33, which should offer players more ways to customize their characters with the new perks and skills added in the expansion.

Now, as the title says, The Outer Worlds: Peril on Gorgon will be available on September 9 for $15 or as part of The Outer Worlds Expansion Pass that costs $25. It's important to mention that Xbox Game Pass subscribers will benefit from a 10% discount on the Peril on Gorgon, which will drop the price to $13.5.

Peril on Gorgon is just the first DLC included in The Outer Worlds' expansion pass. It will be followed by a second one called Murder on Eridanos, which doesn't have a release date yet. Keep in mind that in order to be able to access the new area in Peril on Gorgon, you must progress past Monarch.
