Stranded Sails is an upcoming title from developer Lemonbomb Entertainment that mixes elements of exploration, building and resource management. As of last week, the game has a release date, so those who've been following Stranded Sails should prepare for quite the adventure.

The highly-anticipated open-world pirate adventure is scheduled for release on October 17. It will be available on all major platforms, including PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch. As far as the price goes, players will be able to pick this one up for £19.99 / $24,99 / €24.99 regardless of the platform.

The game was showcased at several gaming events such as Gamescom, PAX and Tokyo Game Show and now sits at over 110,000 wishlists on Steam, an impressive number for such a small title. Anyway, if you have no idea what's Stranded Sails, we've embedded a gameplay trailer to the news and some screenshots.

We'll also let you know that you'll be farming a lot in Stranded Sails, but you'll also have to craft and cook to keep your crew's happiness at the highest levels. Besides that, there's the exploration part where you can travel to several different islands where new treasure and crucial resources can be found.

In the first part of the game, you must find the rest of the crew and escape from the island that you've just shipwrecked. That will require developing a camp, adding new buildings, gather resources, and create farms.

There's some fighting too, as you and your crew will encounter supernatural dangers that can only be overcome by brute force. Although Stranded Sails is an open-world game, it's full of story driven-quests, so you'll always be required to do something.

If you're liking what you see in the trailer, you won't have to wait too long. Just make sure to wishlist it on Steam if you're planning to play Stranded Sails on PC.
