There’s no doubt that October is one of the biggest months of the year when it comes to new games. Several big budget hits are expected to arrive next month, including new Call of Duty and Overwatch titles.

Although we’re the first games aren’t hitting gaming platform until a few days after the start of the month, expect the releases to pick up very fast in the next days. That said, let’s start with Guardian Tales, the PC game that releases on Switch one day ahead of Overwatch 2, alongside Marauders, a tactical first-person multiplayer looter shooter set in a sci-fi universe.

Blizzard’s next major title, Overwatch 2 is set to arrive on just about every platform on October 4, but if you’re not really interested in that type of games, we have two more indies coming out on the same day: 1428: Shadows over Silesia (PC) and Lord of Rigel (Steam Early Access).

Another smaller title, The Plague Doctor of Wippra is scheduled for release on PC on October 5, followed by Nier: Automata The End of Yorha Edition’s Switch port set to arrive on October 6, alongside three other smaller games: Youropa (Switch), Josh Journey: Darkness Totems (PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch), and Medieval Dynasty (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S).

Another important release next month is Hello Games’ No Man’s Sky, which is finally coming to Nintendo Switch on October 7, along with Superpower 3 that lands on PC on the same day.

The next installment in the NHL sports franchise is set for release on all platforms except Nintendo Switch on October 14. Four other important games are coming out on the same day: Scorn (PC, Xbox Series X/S), PGA Tour 2K23 (PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S), Saint Kotar (PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch), and Dragon Ball: The Breakers (PC, PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Switch).
