Despite the delays announced this week (Kena: Bridge of Spirits and SkateBIRD), there are still a bunch of other interesting indies launching next month. Apart from Ghost of Tsushima: Director’s Cut and New World, there aren't any AAA games coming out in August, but that doesn't mean that we can't have a great time playing some of the smaller titles.

One of the first interesting games releasing next month is Grime, a fast and unforgiving action-adventure RPG set to launch on August 2 on PC and Google Stadia. If you're a PlayStation Plus subscriber, you'll be happy to know that you'll get Hunter’s Arena: Legends on August 3, a game that combines RPG, MOBA, and battle royale elements. Aside from PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, Hunter’s Arena: Legends will also be released on PC (via Steam.

On the same day, we have two other games coming out: The Ramp (PC) and In Sound Mind (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch). Next in line is Dodgeball Academia (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) set to launch on August 5, along with The Falconeer: Warrior Edition (PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch.

Mech Armada, a turn-based tactical game, enters Steam Early Access on August 10. We have two other indies on August 10: Action Arcade Wrestling (PlayStation 4, Xbox One) and Black Book (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch).

The GTA 2-inspired Glitchpunk is another title releasing in Early Access on August 11, followed by Fire Tonight (PC, Nintendo Switch), The Plane Effect (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch), Tetragon (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch), Naraka: Bladepoint (PC) and Foreclosed (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch) on August 12.

After a four-day timeout, the game releases will resume with Road 96 (PC, Nintendo Switch) on August 16, Humankind (PC), and Greak: Memories of Azur (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch) on August 17, as well as Ambition: A Minuet in Power (PC) on August 18.

One of the most prolific days when it comes to game releases is August 19. We have no less than six titles coming out on the same day: Monster Harvest (PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch) Synthetik 2 (Steam Early Access), Twelve Minutes (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X), The Vale: Shadow of the Crown (PC, Xbox One), RiMS Racing (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch), and Recompile (PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S).

One of the few AAA games launching next month is a re-release; Ghost of Tsushima Director’s Cut arrives on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on August 20. Strategy fans will be happy to know that King’s Bounty 2 has gone gold this week and will be released for PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 24.

Three other games are set for release on August 24: I Expect You To Die 2: The Spy and the Liar (PSVR, Rift, Quest, Steam VR), Hoa (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch), and Aliens: Fireteam Elite (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S).

The last five days of the month don't disappoint either. Psychonauts 2 launches on PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One on August 25, alongside Behind the Frame (PC) and Rogue Spirit (Steam Early Access). The Zelda-inspired Baldo: The Guardian Owls is scheduled for launch on PC, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch on August 27, the same day that No More Heroes 3 is coming to Nintendo Switch.

Originally scheduled for an August 9 release, Book of Travels will now enter Steam Early Access on August 30, so keep an eye out for this charming RPG.

Last but not least, Amazon's New World MMORPG is set to arrive on August 31, but if you're not into multiplayer games, there are three other games coming out on the same day: Rustler (PC, PlayStation4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch), KeyWe (PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and The Big Con (PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S).
