Ridley Scott has been working on a new space movie in the desert and it’s slowly becoming one of the most hyped releases of the fall. “The Martian” promises to deliver as regards both the story and the impressive cast.

Assuming the first official trailer for it failed to convince you, embedded below is a new one, released just minutes ago. It’s considerably more action-packed and includes some new footage.

“The Martian” tells the story of an expedition to Mars that goes wrong, resulting in one astronaut being left behind in the rush to get out of there alive. That astronaut is Mark Watney (Matt Damon) and he’s suddenly faced with the seemingly impossible task of surviving for longer than he has provisions for, in the hope that NASA would send the team back to save him.

First, of course, he has to let NASA know that he’s still alive - and that alone is a massive undertaking since a storm of some kind has destroyed all communication equipment.

“The Martian” also stars Jessica Chastain, Kate Mara, Michael Pena, Sebastian Stan, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Jeff Daniels, Kristen Wiig, Sean Bean, Aksel Hennie and Donald Glover. It’s based off a script by Drew Goddard and the book by Andy Weir, and will open in theaters on November 25.

If all these technical details don’t convince you to give it a chance, perhaps the trailer will. Enjoy!
