Unofficial iPhone 11 cases reveal the names of the trio

Just when we thought we know everything about the next-generation iPhone lineup, here’s a new leak that provides us with an early look at the names of the three models hitting the shelves next month.

Apple will take the wraps off the new iPhones in September, and the 2019 generation will include three different models, all of them successors to the current devices already on the market.

Until now, most people referred to these models as iPhone 11 or iPhone XI, with their variants called iPhone 11 R or iPhone XI R and iPhone 11 Max or iPhone XI Max.

But the most recent leak changes everything, as the cases you see here claim the three iPhones will be called iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max. The R version is nowhere to be seen, and the Max appears to be replaced by that ridiculously-called iPhone 11 Pro Max.

Public launch on September 10

Needless to say, case manufacturers aren’t necessarily the best sources of information regarding new mobile products, but a second company called totallee also seems to be using the same names for its cases. iPhone 11, iPhone 11 Pro, and iPhone 11 Pro Max, all three get matte finish, transparent finish, and genuine letter cases for this manufacturer.

Contrary to what you might be tempted to believe, the iPhone 11 Pro Max doesn’t bring any major feature additions that would turn it into a “Pro” model. In the past few years, I’ve heard about Apple developing an iPhone Pro on several occasions, but almost every time, the rumored features were things like pen or even keyboard support.

Everything about the new iPhones will be revealed on September 10 at Apple’s event, so let’s just not take this for granted right now and hope these names aren’t true.
