The team wants more time to react to feedback

The development team at Ubisoft is announcing that, starting this week, it is moving the day when it performs maintenance work on the servers that power The Division from Tuesday to Thursday.

The plan is to leave the weekly reset associated with challenges and rewards for Tuesday, basically giving the studio more time to reach to the feedback offered by the community and to implement the small changes that are required to keep the title in the best possible shape.

The information comes from the official Twitter account associated with The Division and explains that the maintenance process will take place at the same time and will continue to last for three hours, although the company has promised that it will try to shorten them.

Ubisoft has not offered any information about the plans it has for this week's maintenance, with some players speculating that the team is getting ready to eliminate some glitches that are associated with the Falcon Lost incursion.

The downtime might also be used by the company to introduce other balancing changes, and The Division fans will probably get more details at some point during Thursday.

Ubisoft has said that it wants to eliminate all loopholes that gamers are using to get gameplay advantages and that it is looking into ways to penalize those who have abused them.

The Division is getting another free content update in May

Another incursion is set to arrive, but no information about the rewards associated with it or its name has been offered yet, and Ubisoft is also preparing to add more features to its multiplayer shooter, many inspired by requests coming from the community.

Presumably, more patching will seek to improve balance during the coming month because in June the company is also aiming to launch the first paid downloadable content pack for The Division, called Underground.

Gamers who have picked up the Season Pass or intend to pay for it separately will get to battle an entirely new faction and can also explore areas under New York City via tunnels.

There are two other major DLC drops planned for The Division for the rest of the year, one of which will add what seems to be a horde-based mode and another that will further expand the game world.

The new Tom Clancy title performed very well during its launch month and dominated the NPD Group-compiled software sales chart for the United States for the period.
