Ubisoft has just announced a new strategy for The Division 2, as well as new content that will drop as early as today, February 12. Tom Clancy's The Division 2: Episode 3 – Coney Island: The Hunt is the last episode of the game's free Year 1 post-launch content plan, and serves as the prologue to The Division 2 Warlords of New York, which is launching on March 3.

Coney Island: The Hunt is available today for Year 1 pass holders and February 19 for all other players. It contains two main missions, two classified assignments for Year 1 pass holders, a new specialization (Firewall), and new rewards as part of the referral program, along with new weapons and an exotic weapon.

Warlords of New York is The Division 2's big expansion and will not be part of the Year 1 pass. It will drop on PC, uPlay+, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 on March 3, while Stadia will get it later next month.

The expansion will be available for purchase separately for $30, while new players can buy the Standard Edition, which includes The Division 2 base game and Warlords of New York expansion for $33. The Ultimate Edition will also be available for purchase for $53, a special version that gives players both the game and the expansion, as well as all of The Division 2's Year 1 content, classified assignments, and unlocked specializations. These prices are heavily discounted and you'll have until March 2 to benefit from the deals.

In Warlords of New York, Division Agents will go on the ultimate manhunt for a former Division Agent who has now gone rogue. Along with his network of Rogue Agents, he is now a major threat to what's left of humanity.

Players will be tasked with exploring new zones, each with iconic locations in New York, including Two Bridges, Chinatown, and Wall Street. In order to reach the former Division Agent, players must annihilate each of his Rogue Agents, who have their unique backstory and skill.

All players must be level 30 and have reached World Tier 5 to be able to access the upcoming Warlords of New York expansion. Which is why each edition of the game will come with a level 30 boost that players can activate to jump into the action. All those who pre-purchase the expansion will receive a free level 30 boost that they can use before the Warlords of New York releases on March 3. It's also worth mentioning that the expansion will raise the level cap from 30 to 40, but it will also introduce an infinite progression system, the SHD level, and 4 new skills that can be used throughout the game.

Ubisoft also revealed that along with Warlords of New York expansion, it will release a Title Update 8, which will bring an RPG overhaul that lets players read and manage their gear inventory easier than before. The UI screen has been redesigned as well to show the roll ranges for each stat on a piece of gear or weapon. God rerolls will make a comeback, while players will be able to see a more streamlined gear recalibration system, which includes item and usefulness indicators, as well as permanent attribute and stat storage at the recalibration station.

Last but not least, the expansion will introduce Seasons – a three-month-long themed endgame event with a new main target and his network to track down. The first season will start one week after the release of The Division 2 Warlords of New York. Apart from the Seasonal Manhunt, the new concept will offer new in-game activities. Another type of content introduced with the upcoming expansion is Leagues, a series of challenges for players with chances to unlock rewards based on players' ability to complete them. Global Events will return to The Division 2, time-limited events during which global modifier is applied to the entire game and players will be rewarded by completing specific tasks.
