The smartphone could come with a 6-inch display

Samsung is working on another smartphone in the Galaxy C series, and information on the upcoming Galaxy C9 has been surfacing for some time now. A teaser recently made its way to Tech Updates, revealing the launch date for the Galaxy C9.

Apparently, Samsung plans to unveil the upcoming Galaxy C9 on October 21, just a few days from now. The smartphone could only be made available in China, and information on its pricing will surely be revealed on the day of its unveiling, alongside the date when the smartphone will be made available for purchase.

The Galaxy C9 has recently passed through TENAA and the listing did reveal some information on the upcoming device. In addition, the phone was spotted on several benchmarking sites, revealing that it carries the model number SM-C9000 and could feature a 6-inch Full HD display.

Samsung Galaxy C9 could have 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage

It is said to run a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset and have up to 6GB of RAM, which is quite impressive. Internal storage could reach 64GB on the upcoming smartphone which is said to have 16MP camera sensors in the back and front.

The Galaxy C9 could draw power from a 4,000mAh battery and run Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, with updates to Android 7.0 Nougat to arrive in the future.  The smartphone recently received certification from the FCC, which could mean that it might make its way to other markets than China. Some rumors say that the phone could be made available in the US in mid-November, but that remains to be seen.

Samsung recently teased an image of the Galaxy C9, revealing that the device could have an all metal-body and antenna lines that run horizontally above the camera sensor on the back. The tagline “The next big thing is coming” is also featured on the teaser.
