Huawei is working on an exciting premium smartphone to be announced globally on November 3 in Munich, Germany, and 6 days later in China. The company has started to release teasers for promoting the upcoming Mate 9.

According to Playfuldroid, a series of teasers coming from the Chinese phone maker indicate that Mate 9 will make its international debut in Germany on November 3, while the smartphone will arrive in its home country on November 9.

One of the teasers released by the company praises the smartphone’s dual-camera setup on the back with sensors manufactured by Leica. The sensors are said to have 20MP and 12MP and come with f/2.0 aperture, as well as 4k optical zoom. The rear camera setup could also come with dual-tone LED flash.

Front camera capacity is expected to reach 8MP and the phone could have a fingerprint scanner on the back.

The Mate 9 Pro could come with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage

Huawei is said to release two variants of the Mate 9, with Mate 9 Pro being the high-end model and having a curved display. Both versions of the Mate 9 are expected to be equipped with a 64-bit HiSilicon Kirin 960 processor.

The smartphone could sport a 5.9-inch display with 1080 x 1920 pixel resolution and 4GB or 6GB of RAM, together with up to 256GB of internal storage. Huawei is said to release variants of the Mate 9 with 64GB and 128GB of internal storage.

In addition, the Mate 9 could come with 4,000mAh battery. The Pro variant will be coming with a dual-curved QHD display and a resolution of 1440 x 2560 pixels. The device is said to have USB Type-C port and run Android 7.1 Nougat out of the box.

Considering the high-end specs, Mate 9 Pro might carry a price tag of $1,300, well above the prices for other flagships on the market, like the iPhone 7 Plus or Galaxy S7 edge.
