There’s no doubt that Samsung’s most highly-anticipated products in 2020 are the Galaxy S11 and the next-generation Note, but the South Korean company has so much more on its way to customers worldwide.

And one of these devices could end up at least as successful as the Galaxy S11, as it’s the first “zero bezel” TV ever released.

Samsung’s upcoming TV, which the South Korean firm is expected to announce at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES), comes with absolutely no bezels, featuring screens of 65 inches and even larger.

Risky approach

A report from Korean site The Elec indicates that Samsung might be playing a risky card with these new TVs, as the company picked an approach that hasn’t been used before and which involves welding the display panel directly to the main body. Because there are no bezels to keep the screen in place, some engineers warned the two parts could eventually separate, albeit for now, Samsung really seems to be betting big on its improvements for a more durable structural integrity.

Samsung has worked together with a series of partners to make this happen, including Shinsegye Engineering and Taehwa Precision, which supplied parts for the new TV.

According to the cited source, the mass production of the new device is projected to start in February, so most likely, Samsung plans to bring it to customers worldwide in the spring, shortly after its unveiling at CES.

It goes without saying the TV won’t come cheap, especially because it’s the first true bezel-less device. The price will increase as you choose a larger screen, but further specifics on this will most likely be unveiled by Samsung itself at CES.

CES 2020 kicks off in Las Vegas on January 7 and ends on January 10, so an announcement regarding the TV should be made in about one week.
