Samsung officially unveiled the Galaxy Note 7 earlier this month, and the smartphone is expected to hit shelves on August 19. Pre-orders for the handset have been live for some time now, and it seems that two US carriers have already started shipping the device.

Galaxy Note 7 is certainly one of the most anticipated phones of the year, especially since it comes with lots of innovative and exciting features. That’s why many vendors wish to provide it to customers as soon as possible.

According to SamMobile, US carriers Verizon and T-Mobile have already started shipping Note 7 units to customers. It seems that there are people who have received emails announcing that their orders are already on the way.

Some Galaxy Note 7 units will arrive as soon as today

Some T-Mobile customers have been informed that their units could arrive today, August 15, while some Verizon customers have been given a delivery date of August 17, two days before the smartphone hits stores in the US and other countries.

Recently, Samsung announced that it delayed Galaxy Note 7 deliveries in multiple countries, including Luxembourg, Belgium, the Netherlands, Malaysia, Russia, and Ukraine. It seems that the Note 7 will be released in September in those countries, as the South Korean giant didn’t anticipate the high demand for the handset and decided to prioritize certain markets over others.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch Super AMOLED display with quad HD display and USB Type-C charging. It packs a Snapdragon 820 processor or an octa-core Exynos 8890, depending on the region. It also comes with 64GB of internal storage and 4GB of RAM, together with a 12MP rear camera and an 8MP unit on the front.

The smartphone boasts an iris scanner, fingerprint scanner, and an improved S Pen. In addition, it draws power from a 3,500mAh battery. What's more, a variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage could be launched in China. The Note 7 also comes with a new Gear VR, set to release on August 19.
