They Are Billions, the survival real-time strategy game that took the gaming world by storm earlier this year, is getting a campaign mode on PlayStation 4and Xbox One. The campaign mode is already available on PC for a while now, but for some reason, developers have decided to launch the console version without one.

We've already reviewed They Are Billions for PlayStation 4 and couldn't help notice the clumsiness of the controls. They Are Billions is a tough game by itself, so adding the awful control scheme to the formula makes it even more challenging.

Fortunately, the campaign mode for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One doesn't come alone, as developers announced an important update is available right now as well. The said update includes tweaked and refined gamepad controls, which are available for both survival and campaign modes. Also, the improved controls are a redone contextual quick-help system, which makes for a more approachable experience.

They Are Billions' campaign mode features 48 missions for a total of 60 hours of gameplay. It's also worth mentioning that the campaign mode is free for those who already purchased the game. However, if you don't own the game yet, you'll probably be disappointed to hear that with the launch of the campaign, the price of They Are Billions on Xbox One and PlayStation 4 has increased to $29.99 / €30 to match the price of the PC version on Steam.
