Subway Surfers developers Kiloo Games have just announced that a new major update is now available for download on all important mobile platforms.

Fans of the beloved endless runner game will be pleased to know that the new update brings new content like new characters, fresh boards, and a brand new environment.

According to developers, the latest version of Subway Surfers brings players to a part of the world that is well-known by anyone living on planet Earth.

Subway Surfers fans should know that this version of the game will take players to America, where they will be able to explore the streets of San Francisco.

The official changelog mentions that players will be invited to grind trains on the colorful Subway tracks of San Francisco.

But the most important gameplay features included in the game are a new character and a new board, both of which players can unlock if they play well enough. So the update adds Jenny, a new peace-loving surfer that players can include in their Subway team.

Earn big prizes surfing without changing lanes

Furthermore, developers have confirmed that players will be able to add a new Groovy board to their collections, but that will require a certain amount of coins to unlock.

Also, players will now be able to show off their sharpest tricks on the new board added with the update but also earn challenging Awards if they surf without changing lanes.

You can now download Subway Surfers for Android for free via Google Play Store. The title should be fully compatible with all smartphones powered by Android 2.3.3 and up.

For iOS users, the game is available for download for free via App Store. It should work smoothly on handsets running iOS 6.0 or later.

Last but not least, you can also download Subway Surfers for Windows Phone for free via Windows Phone Store. The game has been confirmed to support all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.

Keep in mind that, while the title is available for free, it comes with in-app purchases, so if you don't want to spend real money, you can disable this feature.
