If you own a Windows Phone handset and you’ve become addicted to Kiloo's smash hit Subway Surfers, you must have been unpleasantly surprised to learn that the game is not available on Windows 10 Mobile.

Microsoft fans running Windows 10 Mobile preview builds on their Lumia smartphones can't download Subway Surfers on their devices yet because the game hasn't been published on Windows Store.

Obviously, there's an explanation for that, and Subway Surfers developers have confirmed for WindowsCentral that their game is affected by an issue on this platform, which is why it hasn't been released at the moment.

The good news is that developers have already identified the issue and are now working to address it. If everything goes well, Windows 10 Mobile will be able to play Subway Surfers once again in the coming weeks.

“Unfortunately we encountered a bug for Subway Surfers specifically on Windows 10. We chose to not make the game available with that bug as it is not a level of polish we are comfortable with. We are working as fast as we can to solve the issue. Sorry for the inconvenience,” says developer Kiloo Games.

One of the most popular mobile games

Subway Surfers is one of the most popular endless runners available on mobile platforms. The game is updated on a monthly basis with new content that takes players to various countries around the globe.

The latest update allows players to take an imaginary trip to the North Pole, where they will be able to surf in a snow-covered Subway.

As always, new characters, boards, and outfits are introduced with each update, so players who are into collecting stuff can unlock them and add them to their collections.

If you haven't played Subway Surfers yet and own a smartphone powered by Windows 10 Mobile, then you will have to wait a while longer to be able to get it.
