The development team at Capcom is announcing that it is deploying a new major patch for Street Fighter V, which is the reason the title's servers are down for maintenance for most of the day. There are, however, plenty of other changes to already existing characters for those who are uninterested in playing with the newly added Guile.

The game also receives its first new stage, the Air Force Base, and a new rage quit system is also added to make sure that there are clear penalties for those who are willing to drop out of a match if it is not going their way.

Capcom states, "Just like Alex, Guile will be available for free to all players until the in-game shop that uses real currency is launched.  Once the shop launches, the free trial period for these characters will end, and players will have to use Fight Money or real currency to purchase them."

The full list of fixes and balancing changes for Street Fighter V can be seen by all players who click the button at the end of the article. It's worth mentioning that it includes changes to Ryu, Vega, Bison, Ken, Chun-Li, Cammy, Laura, Dhalsim, and more.

According to Capcom, all the tweaks have been inspired by feedback offered by the player base.

Street Fighter V is set to get even more new content in June

Guile and Alex were the first fighters added to the game after launch, and Capcom claims that it wants to continue offering one new combatant a month for the foreseeable future while also tweaking already existing ones.

The plan is to deliver a new and more extensive set of stories associated with the entire cast during June, and it seems that the month will also witness the delivery of the official shop and the extra content linked to it.

Since Street Fighter V was launched, the developers have also added training options after the community complained about how hard it was to create solid strategies for all the characters.

The new rage quit system will also continue to be refined in the coming months to make sure that players are compelled to stay engaged with matches rather than abandon them.

Capcom has promised that, for Street Fighter V, it does not have plans to introduce new versions, like an Alpha or an Ultimate, and will tweak gameplay over time via free updates to respond to the needs of the community and those of competitive players.
