A fresh new Beta has been released for Street Fighter V

Capcom has revealed that the third Beta version of Street Fighter V is launching today, and it will allow users to play as a wealth of characters.

The developers from Capcom are doing things a little bit differently than most of the studios out there, and they are actually using the input from the community to make the game better. They let players get used to new characters, and they make the changes that they need. It's a major step forward in the development process since this is mostly a multiplayer-oriented game.

It's important to notice that Street Fighter V is one of the few games out there that will provide cross-platform play for the PC and PlayStation 4 users. This rarely happens, but since the control scheme is basically the same, it's a lot easier for people to play together in a transparent manner.

Street Fighter V to be released soon

Capcom is not wasting any time, and modifications are made almost immediately to the Beta versions. The game is progressing at a very fast pace, which is a good thing if they want to hit that spring 2016 release.

"Hey everyone. The 3rd SFV online beta is nearly upon us! Running on both PS4 and PC from 12/18 12:01 AM PT (8:01 AM GMT) until 12/20 @ 10 PM PT (12/21 @ 6 AM GMT), here is a breakdown of the content and characters you can expect, along with a detailed schedule that outlines the server maintenance periods as well," devs wrote one the official blog.

Here are the characters that are going to be playable: Ryu, Birdie, Cammy, Necalli, Nash, and Laura. The good news is that more characters might be added during the Beta.

Also, Capcom announced yesterday that they planned to launch the game for SteamOS as well, and users would be able to take advantage of the Steam Controller.
