The Steam Winter Sale is coming to an end and it will be over in just a few hours, so make sure that you take a last look and choose the games you want.

The Steam sales usually last for a long time and the Steam Winter Sale seems to be going on forever, but like any good thing, it’s now coming to an end. In less than 10 hours, by 10 AM PST (6 PM GMT for Europeans), the Steam Winter Sale will be closing, and we’ll have to go back to the boring life of full-priced games.

To be fair, Steam always has some sort of promotion going on, so it’s not like users won’t be able to buy discounted games for a long time. The last day of the Winter Sale shows that users preferred to buy Grand Theft Auto V, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Fallout 4, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, Rocket League, ARK: Survival Evolved, and Dying Light.

Perfect time to get some older games

Many users have noticed that some of the older, but famous games are now heavily discounted. It looks like gamers are still looking to buy The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim - Legendary Edition, Sid Meier's Civilization V: Complete Edition, Far Cry 4, or the entire Star Wars Collection.

Valve says that 10074 titles are now discounted on Steam, but that also includes apps and various other multimedia content. It’s still an impressive number, and it’s not something that any other platform can even come close to.

It’s also interesting to note that neither the Steam Link (game streaming) or the Steam Controller have been discounted during this sale, but if you order one of them you will receive Left 4 Dead 2 and Counter-Strike: Global Offensive for free, so, at least, there is that.
