14 DAY TRIAL // After selling over 700,000 copies of Aragami, developer Lince Works was probably convinced that a sequel would be more than appropriate. That being said, we now have the release date of Aragami 2, another entry in the stealth-action franchise that should offer fans of the genre a classic ninja experience.
The fine folks at Lince Works confirmed Aragami 2 is coming to consoles and PC on September 17. Although pre-orders are open now on Steam only ($34.99 / €34.99 / £29.99), soon the game will be available on PlayStation Store ($39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99), and Xbox Store ($39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99).
On top of that, retail partner Merge Games announced that physical versions of Aragami 2 will be released in Europe on September 17 and September 21 in North America. The physical versions will be available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and Xbox One/Series X and will cost $39.99 / €39.99 / £34.99.
Along with the release date, developer Lince Works launched a new trailer featuring a cinematic, in-engine look at their upcoming stealth-action title. In Aragami 2, players face the incoming terror of the Akatsuchi Empire which threatens to invade and destroy the Rashomon Valley. The Aragami emerge as a clan to defend their own, utilizing the shadows to avail their cause.
While the original Aragami hooked fans with a stealth-focused game inspired by classic ninja experiences like Tenchu and rooted in the lore of a beautifully crafted world, the sequel is taking the franchise to loftier heights with enhanced stealth mechanics, and an all-new strategic combat system where every move must be calculated.
Also, those who love playing games with their friends will be pleased to know that Aragami 2’s gripping narrative can be experienced in full completely solo or with friends as a co-op stealth-action adventure.
Apart from the full campaign that can be completed solo or with up to 3 players in co-op, Aragami 2 promises to offer deep weapon and armor customization, a wide variety of abilities, shadow powers, and special equipment, and a lot more.
