14 DAY TRIAL // The folks at Undead Labs announced earlier this week that State of Decay 2 will get a major update that completely overhauls the game. The update will be available for free to all State of Decay 2 owners, but those who don't own it can already pre-order the so-called State of Decay 2: Juggernaut Edition for €25.
This edition is packed with remastered content meant to welcome first-time players, as well as veterans alike. The most important improvements that we get in this edition is remastered graphics, along with an upgraded engine featuring realistic fog effects.
Also, there's an expanded soundtrack available that includes hours of new thematic musical arrangements, Providence Ridge, a brand-new open-world map full of forests, zombies, and mystery.
But the changes don't stop here. Undead Labs announced the Juggernaut Edition will add two-handed heavy weapons with new melee combat moves, and a new introductory experience and improved controls to help players master the apocalypse.
Of course, these are just the highlights of upcoming Juggernaut Edition, but there a bucketload of other improvements made to the classic open-ended sandbox gameplay, so if you're a veteran expect to see a lot of tweaks and enhancements.
Developer Undead Labs also says that it fixed dozens of mission and gameplay bugs and further improved the audio experience. And for those who don't yet own State of Decay 2 and wish to buy it, here is some good news.
Juggernaut Edition will include all three add-on packs released to date: Independence Pack, Dayybreak Pack, and State of Decay 2: Heartland. Those who already own Daybreak, Heartland, or purchased the Ultimate Edition of State of Decay 2 will receive some exclusive in-game gifts when Juggernaut Edition launches on March 13.
It's also worth mentioning that all Xbox Game Pass subscribers will get this edition of State of Decay 2 for free, but the game is also available on Steam for those who prefer to own it.
