Stardock has released a new version of its Start menu customization application, this time with features that are specifically aimed at Windows 11.

As you probably know already, Windows 11 comes with a new Start menu design inspired by Windows 10X, with the main changes including a new position on the screen and the demise of live tiles.

Microsoft says the purpose of all these changes is to make the Start menu overall more productive.

“From the new Start button and taskbar to each sound, font and icon, everything was done intentionally to put you in control and bring a sense of calm and ease. We put Start at the center and made it easier to quickly find what you need. Start utilizes the power of the cloud and Microsoft 365 to show you your recent files no matter what platform or device you were viewing them on earlier, even if it was on an Android or iOS device,” the company explained.

The new Stardock customization app for the Start menu is called Start11, and as you could easily figure out by simply reading its name, it’s specifically designed for Windows 11.

Users can choose from several Start menu layouts, so for example, if you liked the design of the Start menu in Windows 11, this one is available as well. Needless to say, both the light and the dark modes are supported, so you can enable whichever you like to align the Start menu with the rest of the OS.

The first beta is available today, and Stardock says it’s already working on several improvements, including additional style options, support for performing math problems in the search box, enhanced productivity features, and faster search and more detailed results.

The application isn’t available free of charge, but a trial version is offered to try it out before buying.
