The final chapter of the StarCraft II saga, Legacy of the Void, has been released by Blizzard, and it’s now live on Battle.net.

Blizzard took its sweet time to deliver all three games in the StarCraft II franchise, but the final part has arrived, at last. Legacy of the Void completes the story arc and it’s the last one, but it doesn’t mean that it’s the end of StarCraft II.

There was a time, long ago, when Blizzard said that all three campaigns would be available in one game. They soon realized one of two things. It’s too big to fit into a single game, or they can make a lot more money with three games instead of one.

To be fair, both StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty and StarCraft II: Heart of the Swarm have had impressive campaigns and they didn’t feel short at all. In hindsight, splitting them into three parts was a good idea. Having them released five years apart, not so much.

StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void is out

One thing we got to admit. Playing with the Protoss race still feels great and really different from the other races.

“StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void features an expansive new campaign where players will take on the role of Artanis, Hierarch of the Daelaam, and take command of the mighty Spear of Adun—a magnificent protoss arkship capable of altering the course of battle from high above any conflict. As they fight to steer the protoss armada toward their ultimate destiny, players will also determine the ultimate fates of such iconic StarCraft characters as Jim Raynor, Kerrigan, and Zeratul,” said Blizzard.

We already have a review in place for StarCraft II: Legacy of the Void if you want to find out more details about the game. The latest chapter is now available in Battle.net and stores across the world.
