Disney and Lucasfilm announced a few days ago that Star Wars: Uprising mobile game would be launched on iOS platform on September 10.

At that time, we had no idea whether or not the publisher plans to release the RPG on Android platforms as well.

Today, Star Wars: Uprising has been launched on both iOS and Android operating systems, so mobile gamers can now download it from App Store and Google Play Store, respectively.

Developed by Kabam Studio, Star Wars: Uprising is an RPG that introduces player to the Anoat Sector, where they can team up with freedom fighters, bounty hunters, smugglers and gangsters to rise up against the Empire.

“Star Wars: Uprising introduces players to a whole new Star Wars storyline in a deeply immersive RPG experience. The community will be excited for massive sector battles that will shape the game’s future. It’s an amazing design that has a lot of surprises in store,” said Aaron Loeb, senior vice president of Studio, Kabam.

Han Solo or Boba Fett?

Players start by creating their hero, as they can choose from a wide range of special skills, visual customizations and classic Star Wars gear.

The game offers both single and multiplayer modes, in which you will be able to explore the secrets of the sector and build a powerful squad with allies while playing alongside friends in synchronous cooperative play.

Also, you will be able to join players all over the world in massive sector-wide battles in order to dictate the expansion of in-game content, including new planers, exclusive gear and unique team members.

You can now download Star Wars: Uprising for Android for free via Google Play store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Android 4.0 and up.

For iOS users, the game can be downloaded for free via App Store. It should work smoothly on all devices running iOS 7.0 or later.

Keep in mind that while the game is available for free, it comes with in-app purchases, so if you don't plan on spending real money, you should disable this feature.
