The first gameplay for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be revealed during the EA Play 2019 event.

Electronic Arts has the Star Wars license to make games based on this property, and they managed to release a few good titles, along with a couple of flops. The studio tried to monetize Star Wars games, and it didn’t work too well for the publisher.

We also have to keep in mind that Electronic Arts also killed a couple of Star Wars titles since 2017, a single player from the defunct Visceral Games and an open-world title from EA Vancouver. In fact, the single-player game developed by Visceral was later rebooted by EA Vancouver.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is shipping this year

The Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order game is developed by Respawn Entertainment, the same ones who brought us the two Titanfall titles and Apex Legends. And their pedigree goes deeper because Respawn Entertainment founder Vince Zampella also built Infinity Ward and the Call of Duty franchise.

It seems that Electronic Arts is willing to make some concession and get some of that goodwill back from the community. From the looks of it, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order promises to be an interesting adventure.

The first game for Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order will be unveiled during the EA Play 2019 event (7-9 June). EA already announced that it’s skipping E3 this year and they opted to host their own event.

The timeline in the game places the action right after the events in Revenge of the Sith. A padawan escapes the dreaded order 66 and tries to stay alive while being hunted by imperial forces.

Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is a single player game with no micro-transactions or loot boxes, and is scheduled to be released on November 15. 2019, for PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.
