New card packs and special released for the holidays

Konami has just announced that its smash hit Star Wars: Force Collection will receive an important update on December 18, which will bring new features and improvements into the mix.

Aside from the content developers plan to add in the upcoming update, there will be new promotions and card packs added to the game.

The new update celebrates the release of the highly anticipated film, so players should expect a variety of exclusive cards including Rey, Kylo Ren, and BB-8, among others.

Also, as a special bonus, Konami is also giving an exclusive 5-star card of BB-8 to all players who log in, but only for a limited time only.

The new features included in the upcoming update include new cards from “Star Wars: The Force Awakens:” 5-star: Rey, Kylo Ren, BB-8, 4-star: Finn, Captain Phasma, and 3-star: Resistance Soldier, Stormtrooper.

New special card packs will be available on Christmas

The following card packs will be available from December 18 to 23: Special Star Wars: The Force Awakens Movie Release Card Pack, 11 Side Selectable Card Pack with two 4-star cards and one 5-star card guaranteed, 6 Card Pack: One 4-star or above card from Star Wars: The Force Awakens guaranteed, as well as 1 Card Pack which may include a card from the new Star Wars film.

Between December 24-28, players will be given access to the following card packs: Special Star Wars: The Force Awakens Movie Release Card Pack, 11 Side Selectable Card Pack with two 4-star cards and one 5-star card (from the prequel trilogy or Star Wars: The Force Awakens) guaranteed.

Konami also announced that some gameplay features will be implemented in the game as well, such as updated home screen design, renewed chat system, special Awakened card frames for Star Wars: The Force Awakens cards.

Also, the update will add a new tier that allows players to upgrade certain Star Wars: The Force Awakens cards beyond the Evolve tier. Players can do this once specific conditions are met, including possessing two Evolve max cards, and a minimum number of Holocrons, which can be obtained in events and map quests.

But that's not all, as Konami confirmed it would host an online event where players can vote for their favorite Star Wars characters from both the dark and light sides of the Force. All winning characters will become the game’s newest 5-star cards.
