Publisher Disney announced a few months ago a major expansion for Star Wars: Commander, a mobile real-time strategy game in the veins of Clash of Clans, called Worlds in Conflict.

The expansion was released as free update on both Android and iOS platforms several weeks ago, but Windows Phone gamers were skipped from the initial rollout of the expansion.

The good news is Disney and Microsoft have recently confirmed that Worlds in Conflict expansion for Star Wars: Commander is now available for Windows Phone gamers as well.

Worlds in Conflict brings many new gameplay features and improvements, such as base relocation, galaxy map, and additional worlds (Dandoran, Er'Kit, Yavin 4 and Hoth).

With the new Base Relocation feature, players will be able to build and upgrade a Planetary Command building to scout out new worlds and move their base across the galaxy.

The Galaxy Map allows players to explore the galaxy, gather intelligence on their allies and enemies, as well as see the status of the worlds in conflict.

Choose your side and fight against other players

More importantly, the update brings a new system aimed at multiplayer fans, which will allow players to fight for their faction in ongoing tournaments on each world against other players and earn loot bonuses for future battles.

Obviously, Star Wars: Commander also features a story campaign where players can fight for the Galactic Empire (the dark side) or the Rebel Alliance (the light side) in their galactic civil war.

If you don't have the game yet, you can now download Star Wars: Commanded for Windows Phone for free via Windows Store. The game should be fully compatible with all devices powered by Windows Phone 8 and up.

Keep in mind that, while the game is free to download, it comes with in-app purchases available from $1.99 to $99.99, so if you don't plan on spending real money, you might want to disable this feature.
